Some of the biggest news in Rhode Island and Massachusetts this week is the EZDriveMA text message attacks. These scam messages falsely claim to be from EZDriveMA and request recipients to pay a toll. Clicking the link in these messages puts your device at risk. Eric Shorr, President of Secure Future Tech Solutions, appeared on WJAR-10 to discuss what to do if you received one of these messages.
Here are the five key points to remember:
1. Delete the text and do not click on any links.
2. Visit the official EZDriveMA website<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__hq357.keap-2Dlink003.com_v2_click_e0fe5ba724392186a8ecf9c0de2adc13_eJyNj0sLgkAUhf-5FLXUta5oPZiYkMmgupFm1CdKAhHafxGoj43xsrXBW0PY-5FvcEZAJgqBtAIC17vteGCAYiWXnAkMW4FF-2DTJta-2DN6BtRc3GLV9hLI-2DK26-2DLPqr92tAThIphOHPAgTmsWXlGaJTspC6YV-5FMI7r-2D561gKJ9QFOYpp9k1nCMHhreAUHVs-5FlQxfUpPKp6HkGUHTHN6LzL6UnjVmXb6F4hJRPV53PChnd7egJO6Vzl&d=DwMFaQ&c=euGZstcaTDllvimEN8b7jXrwqOf-v5A_CdpgnVfiiMM&r=5Ivf5HOWs93KSh1oW_oDGjXGvHFCtTuY6LXtZCIKXgM&m=UumuLMV4rYFH3wclcmDVPb_Y14GlPFvcKKGX6TSU0IRHyAEgGjFkYkHqHg9HBHBk&s=2VxTQqbW5xD_gjwIAp70t-ZRpXmU6V0AkYxx7ur6q3k&e=> to check your account and billing information.
